เฟอร์นิเจอร์ (Furniture): Children’s Furniture, Upholstered Furniture, Other types of Furniture

ในความหมายของ Furniture Compliance Requirement ของประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกานั้น คำว่า “REGULATIONS” จะหมายถึง การบังคับตามกฎหมาย หรือ MANDATORY ส่วนคำว่า “STANDARDS” จะหมายถึง มาตรฐานสมัครใจ และคำว่า “Guidelines” หมายถึง แนวทางปฏิบัติ ซึ่งเชื่อมโยงกับมาตรฐานอุตสาหกรรม (Industry Standard)

ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกามีการประกาศกฎระเบียบซึ่งบังคับตามกฎหมายโดยหลายหน่วยงาน จำแนกตามขอบข่าย (Scope) ได้แก่

• 16 CFR 1219: Safety Standard for Full-Size Cribs Cradles ใช้มาตรฐานทดสอบ คือ ASTM F 1169-13 Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Full-Size Baby Cribs
• 16 CFR 1220: Safety Standard for Non-Full-Size Cribs ใช้มาตรฐานทดสอบ คือ ASTM F 406-10a Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Non-Full-Size Baby Cribs/Play Yards
• 16 CFR 1222: Safety Standard for Bedside Sleepers ใช้มาตรฐานทดสอบ คือ ASTM F 2906-13 Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Bedside Sleepers
• 16 CFR 1513: Requirements for Bunk Beds

และสินค้าต้องระบุข้อความเหล่านี้บนฉลากเพื่อการตรวจสอบ ได้แก่

• Manufacturer or private labeler name
• Location and date of production of the product
• Detailed information on the manufacturing process, such as batch or run number, other identifying characteristics
• Any other information to facilitate ascertaining the specific source of the product
